Supporting your Museum through the Covid-19 Pandemic

In difficult times, we need you

There are hundreds of charities that deliver urgent support to the people most in need and they really need your help. If you can, also think about what we want to still be here after all of this ends. Our role is to ensure there is a Museum about you and the city to enjoy after restrictions are lifted. We want to record and document these difficult times as they will be essential for sharing with future generations (you can visit our City Stories site to contribute).

This monumental event will change everything and we need your support to ensure we are here to share those stories of the hardships brought about by the Covid-19 Pandemic for people to learn about in the future. It is an opportunity to show how Oxford's communities and people have come together to support each other and the most vulnerable.

We have a short list of ideas on how you can support us:

  • You can donate directly to us by visiting our Golden Giving page here - any amount is really welcome!
  • You can join Give as you liveselect the Museum of Oxford Development Trust as your chosen charity. Give as you live doesn't cost you a penny! Every time you complete an online shopping order through the supporting organisations, the Museum of Oxford receives a small percentage.
  • Play the Oxford LotteryBy selecting the Museum of Oxford Development Trust as your chosen charity, 50p of each ticket comes directly to us. And of course you have the chance to win some big cash prizes.
  • Fundraise online for us via Golden GivingYou can set up a simple page on Golden Giving to fundraise for us. From home you could take part in a Tik Tok challenge, maybe hold a Zoom party event to help fundraise, or run a marathon in your back garden.

Thank you for all of your support!
