The Museum of Oxford has submitted its plans and grant application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the £1.6million required to take the project through the next phase. The Museum of Oxford's Development Trust will continue to fundraise for the project as the total capital cost of the project is £2.8million.

Oxford’s Hidden Histories will revitalise a much loved city museum and enable hidden history to come alive for our visitors. It will:
- transform the Museum of Oxford with new, larger galleries, a new Museum Makers space and a Learning Space
- make objects currently in storage accessible;
- explore Oxford’s intangible heritage through the memories, stories and objects of local people and communities.
